389 Your Strength
Nehemiah 8:10: Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
People are rising up out of the ashes right now with a renewed strength and vigor. God is replacing beauty for ashes, garments of praise for sack cloths, joy for mourning. The Lord is saying rise up; it is a new day. God is saying, “know that I am God and I am for you.” He is anointing His people right now, with joy unspeakable, peace unthinkable, hope unbreakable, and faith unshakable.
It is time for Christ to come forth in His people. It is time to eat, consume His goodness, drink, taste His sweet love, and give out His joy to those who are lacking. The joy of the Lord is arising in hearts all over the world right now. It is our strength.
It is a sign to those who are hurting. They will flock towards us as we maintain a peace and joy which goes beyond understanding. In spite of what the world is bombarding us with, His Spirit is bringing us this great joy and there is not a trace of fear or worry in us. We have overcome the world. Christ is risen in us.
