A wise man’s heart turns him towards his right hand, but a fool’s heart toward his left.
Ecclesiastes 10:2
As it is written, God gave them a spirit (an attitude) of stupor, eyes that should not see and ears that should not hear, (that has continued) down to this very day. Romans 11:8 Note: A result of God’s judgment.
Therefore, God sends upon them a misleading influence, a working of error and a strong delusion to make them believe what is false, in order that all may be judged and condemned who did not believe in (who refused to adhere to, trust in, and rely on) the truth, but instead took pleasure in unrighteousness. II Thes. 2:10-11.
The Lord protects and preserves the strangers and temporary residents, He upholds the fatherless and the widow and sets them upright, but the way of the wicked He makes crooked (turns upside down and brings to ruin). Psalms 146:9.
For God’s holy wrath and indignation are revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who in their wickedness repress and hinder the truth and make it inoperative. For that which is known about God is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness, because God (Himself) has shown it to them. For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernable in and through the things that have been made (His handy works). So [men] are without excuse (altogether without any defense or justification), because when they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead, they became futile and godless in their thinking (with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning and stupid speculations) and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools (professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves). Romans 1:18-22
