North Dakota Judge Upholds Law Protecting Gender-Confused Kids from Transgender Drugs and Mutilation

District Judge Jackson Lofgren on Monday rejected a request to temporarily block an April law that bans the transgender mutilation of minors. (Bismarck, ND) — [LifeSiteNews.com] North Dakota can continue enforcing its law protecting doctors from mutilating gender-confused children with drugs or surgeries while a challenge works its way through the courts, a federal judge decided Monday. (Image: Pixabay) South Central District Judge Jackson Lofgren upheld the protections, rejecting a request to temporarily block an April law signed by Gov. Doug Burgum that bans the transgender mutilation of minors. Lawyers made the request in an effort to stall enforcement of the law while a lawsuit filed by a doctor who performs transgender surgeries and three sets of parents of gender-confused children works its way through the courts. The plaintiffs filed their lawsuit against North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley in September. Judge Lofgren said the physician and parents had failed to establish that the new legal protections ran afoul of the Constitution “beyond a reasonable doubt,” The Daily Wire noted. He also pointed out that gender-confused people are not a “protected class.” READ: North Dakota bans ‘transgender’ males from girls’ bathrooms “The plaintiffs argue the challenged statutes are subject to strict scrutiny,” the judge wrote in his decision. “However, this heightened scrutiny hinges upon inclusion in a protected class not previously recognized by the North Dakota Supreme Court or a new application of state constitutional principles.” Lofgren explained that his decision allows the continued enforcement of the law while the legal case progresses. The judge also suggested the plaintiffs had damaged their case by filing in September, months after the law was signed, Valley News Live reported. The law in question, House Bill 1254, makes it a class B felony for any healthcare provider to perform surgery “for the purpose of changing or affirming the minor’s perception of the minor’s sex” and a misdemeanor to prescribe drugs for that purpose. Violators could face up to 10 years in prison or $20,000 in fines… Continue reading Here. |

The new policy makes clear that students are to be referred to by the proper pronouns and that children who participate in gender-segregated sports and extracurricular activities must take part in the ones that align with their [biological] sex. (Ashland, VA) — [LifeSiteNews.com] A Virginia school board this week approved a new policy to further reaffirm biological reality against transgender ideology. The move comes in spite of backlash from transgender advocates in recent years and a previous ACLU lawsuit accusing the board of discrimination. (Image: Pexels) The Hanover County School Board permitted proposed revisions to their policy during a Tuesday board meeting, WRIC reported. Under the new policy revisions, students may only be referred to in school by the pronouns listed in their official records unless a gender-confused student and his or her parent submits a written request. The revision also makes clear that the district will not “compel staff or students to address or refer to students in any manner that would violate their constitutionally protected rights” and forbids the introduction of any “policy, guidance, training or other written material may encourage or instruct teachers to conceal material information about a student from the student’s parents, including information related to gender,” with a stipulation in the event that a child “is at imminent risk of suicide related to parental abuse or neglect.” The revised policy further specifies that children are only to participate in the sports and other extracurricular activities that align with their sex, including overnight accommodations. “For any school programs, events, or activities (including extracurricular activities) that are separated by biological sex, the appropriate participation of students will be determined by biological sex rather than gender or gender identity,” the policy states. “Overnight travel accommodations and other intimate spaces used for school-related activities and events will be arranged based upon the biological sex of the participants.” Exceptions in favor of gender-confused students “will be permitted only to the extent required by law.” The board also added the word “biological” to its restroom policy concerning gender-confused students who wish to use “facilities that align with their gender identity [sic] but not their [biological] sex”… Continue reading Here. |

The rescue action in question was live-streamed on Facebook by DC Area Anti-Abortion Advocacy. According to the indictment, a nurse stumbled and sprained her ankle as a result of the action; however, although the same document alleges that the defendants “did by force … intentionally injure … and attempt to injure” an unnamed “patient,” no overt acts of violence on their part are described therein. -from March 30, 2022 LiveAction account [LiveAction.org] [On Thursday], November 16, the verdict in Paulette Harlow‘s federal bench trial was handed down by Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly. Kollar-Kotelly found Harlow guilty on both conspiracy against rights and FACE Act violations, ruling that the latter constituted a “crime of violence,” even though all participants in the October 2020 rescue action at the Washington Surgi-Clinic abortion facility—from which Harlow’s charges stemmed—were committed to non-violence and behaved accordingly. (Image credit: LifeSiteNews /via LiveAction) Harlow’s eight previously convicted co-defendants—Jean Marshall, Jonathan Darnel, Joan Andrews Bell, Lauren Handy, Will Goodman, John Hinshaw, Heather Idoni, and Herb Geraghty—were all incarcerated by Kollar-Kotelly pending sentencing, the date for which has not yet been set. This is due to a rule which requires immediate detention for those convicted of so-called “crimes of violence.” However, in a somewhat surprising move, Judge Kollar-Kotelly chose to apply a narrow exception to that rule, and has permitted Harlow to remain on house arrest pending her sentencing, which is scheduled for March 19 at 10 am. Kollar-Kotelly stated that immediate incarceration would “pose so great a danger to [Harlow’s] health” as to be unjust. The terms of Harlow’s house arrest dictate that she is only permitted to leave her home to travel to court hearings and for medical appointments and procedures; in the latter case, she is only permitted a travel radius of 25 miles. She is, at present, not permitted to attend church, although this might change if she is able to submit to the court a note from her doctor stating that church attendance does not pose a threat to her health. Harlow has multiple health issues, including “debilitating diabetes, Hashimoto’s disease, and severe back pain requiring the use of a wheelchair,” according to LifeSiteNews. Harlow entered and exited the courtroom today in a wheelchair. Like her currently incarcerated co-defendants, Harlow is facing up to 10 years in federal prison for the conspiracy against rights conviction, and another year for the FACE Act conviction, for a combined potential sentence of 11 years. |

(Atlanta, GA) — [APNews.com]The question of whether Georgia’s electronic voting system has major cybersecurity flaws that amount to a violation of voters’ constitutional rights to cast their votes and have those votes accurately counted is set to be decided at trial early next year. “We have strong indications that [the hostages] were held in the Shifa hospital, which is one of the reasons we entered the hospital. If they were, they were taken out. We have intelligence about the hostages, but again, as to your first question, the less I say about it, the better.” -Benjamin Netanyahu, PM (Jerusalem, Israel) — [CBN News] The Israel Defense Forces found an operational terror tunnel shaft on the grounds of the Shifa Hospital. Israel has been asserting that tunnels under the hospital are part of Hamas’ terror command center. They also discovered a booby-trapped vehicle containing a large amount of weapons. (Screengrab image) “We found a vehicle filled with ammunition, RPGs, AK47s. We see handcuffs, knives, preparations for taking hostages from Israel on the attack of October 7th. As you can see, they were very well prepared, and where they are hiding all this equipment is in a hospital, a place that’s supposed to be for humanitarian aid; they have all this evil hidden here,” said one unnamed IDF soldier in a video released by the military. The State Department says it’s because of Hamas’ strategy that it’s difficult for Israel to avoid civilian casualties. “Remember that it is Hamas that is putting all these people in harm’s way,” said State Department spokesperson Matt Miller. In an interview with CBS News, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said they have ‘concrete evidence’ that terror ‘chieftains’ (leaders) were hiding in the hospital and fled when Israeli troops entered. He also said they believe the hostages were there. “We have strong indications that they were held in the Shifa hospital, which is one of the reasons we entered the hospital. If they were, they were taken out. We have intelligence about the hostages, but again, as to your first question, the less I say about it, the better,” said Netanyahu. Click Here to watch the CBN News report, and view IDF Social Media posts The IDF said it recovered the body of 64-year-old Yehudit Weiss from a building near Shifa Hospital, along with military equipment. Weiss, who was undergoing cancer treatment, was abducted on October 7 when her husband was murdered. The IDF also extracted the body of IDF soldier Noa Marciano from a structure adjacent to Shifa Hospital. Marciano was also abducted during the October 7 massacre and murdered inside Gaza. …Biden says he discussed with Israelis their need to be “incredibly careful” in Shifa Hospital but shares the Israeli assessment that Hamas has a significant military presence within the civilian infrastructure. “With regard to when is this going to stop, I think it’s going to stop when Hamas no longer maintains the capacity to murder and abuse and just do horrific things to the Israelis,” said Biden. (Screengrab image: arms and ammo from Hamas found in the hospital /via CBN News) Netanyahu says at the end of the war, Israel will maintain security control over Gaza to prevent a Hamas successor from rising up. But Biden sees a different future, one that’s not likely to be popular with Israel. “I made it clear to the Israelis, to Bibi and his war cabinet, that I think the only ultimate answer here is a two-state solution that’s real,” said Biden. Many Israelis have worked with Palestinians from the Gaza Strip for years. It’s believed that Hamas knew the layout of the communities it attacked from the Palestinians who worked inside the villages daily. “We live so close to Gaza. We were the ones who made some relationships with the Gazans. And my car was the one who took sick kids to the hospitals because I thought, this is what’s true and this is what I needed to do. And I don’t know if we were very comfortable; we thought, nobody can do it. Because on a daily basis, we were the ones who helped them,” said Elinor Biton-Bariach, a Hamas attack survivor from Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Hamas terrorists murdered 63 people and took 19 hostages in Kfar Aza. “We also know that we want to be a strong community. If we make a decision not to go back, Hamas will be the winner. And we don’t want anyone to break our spirit,” she said. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here Julie Stahl is a correspondent for CBN News in the Middle East. |

(Screengrab image) The new shoe “reminds you that no matter what they say, no matter the score, victory is yours through Christ,” the Christian brand, UNITUS, declares about the new item. The “Why I Stand” author, whose middle name is Judah, was inspired to launch the shoe for others after his pastor gave him the idea. The Judah 1 “Triumph” version has the Bible verse, 2 Corinthians 4:9, which states, in part, “…persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.” “This one is specifically about me playing basketball and getting back from an injury and have it to be an Orlando colorway I think is super important,” Isaac said. “I can look down and continue to keep faith, continue to keep belief, and keep moving forward,” he added. Isaac wrote about his fait hand courage as the lone NBA player to not kneel in 2020 for the National Anthem during the Black Lives Matter demonstrations.
