Elaine Tavolacci: “Trials That Transform”

A Time of Fortification

Many of you are sensing a turmoil brewing in the spirit realm. There is a growing sense of uncertainty settling in, like the calm before the storm. Those of you who are spiritually sensitive and attuned to the Holy Spirit can discern that it’s a battle between the forces of good and evil. There are assignments sent from the enemy that are meant to divert people’s attention away from Jesus’ plan.

For those of you who received a prophetic promise from the Lord, be assured that it will come to pass, regardless of what circumstances may look like in the natural. The trials that were meant to devastate you will ultimately fortify you as you learn to persevere and never waver in the face of adversity. Don’t allow the enemy to intimidate you, and don’t be moved by his ineffectual strategies.

Tested like a Luxury Car

I want to share a a word and analogy that I received several years ago. Many of you have proven yourselves faithful through very difficult times, and have learned how to triumph over every obstacle in your path. You have allowed the Lord to strengthen you, and you have persevered through horrendous storms; but now it seems as if the enemy has returned with a vengeance and is waging a relentless battle to discredit your testimony.

The Holy Spirit showed me an analogy of a luxury car. Certain luxury cars (such as Tesla) go through greater testing than other cars before they are released to the car dealership. Crash tests are performed by driving these vehicles into walls to test their strength and the amount of pressure that they can stand. They are driven through all seasons to check their performance and tolerance to adverse weather patterns. (Photo via Creative Commons)

They are tested through the snow, the rain, the heat, and extreme weather conditions. They are also driven on the mountains to see if they can pass the test of perseverance, stability, and excellence. They are tested on sharp turns and U-turns to make sure they are agile enough for the winding roads, and they are taken out on rocky roads to test their endurance.

The reason why a reliable luxury car like this needs more testing than an average car is because it has to be proven for what it is worth. We are also tested and tried for our value and worth in the Kingdom of God. If you want God to use you in a mighty way, be prepared to be tested. The Lord will never tempt you, but He will test you to reveal your true character, expose weaknesses, and develop your strengths to see if they are fit for the Master’s use.

I Am Preparing You for Greater Works

The Lord says, “It was the trying times of your past that strengthened you to become the person who I have created you to be. Things may not have gone the way that you had planned, but know that I am preparing you for greater works in the days ahead.

“As the enemy tries to return with a vengeance, remember where I have brought you from. Don’t lose your focus.

“As you look back at the difficult times, you will see that there was a purpose and a plan. Everything that you have endured will be used for My glory. You have continued to stay strong in times of adversity, and I will now entrust you with greater responsibilities.

“[Because] you have allowed Me to restructure your life and make the proper adjustments, you will now become more effective in that which I have called you to do.

“Every step has been necessary for the preparation of your spiritual growth. Although you have wrestled and contended in the previous season, you have developed a resilient spirit and a deeper trust in Me. In the difficult times you have not allowed frustration to overwhelm you, but you have recognized the opportunities for the days ahead. (Photo via Pexels)

“By choosing not to harden your heart, you’ve allowed the challenges you’ve faced to soften and shape you, making you more receptive to Me. As you remain firm in your commitment to Me, you will receive the breakthrough and experience the victory. You will understand that the preparation and the process are crucial for the days ahead, and there will be a positive outcome for every unfortunate situation.

“As you allow Me to build you for endurance, your character and integrity will be strengthened. There are lessons to be learned that are necessary for your advancement so that you can fulfill all that I have called you to do,” says the Lord.

“It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.” (Psalm 18:32, NKJV)

“He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.” (Psalm 18:34; 2 Samuel 22:35, NKJV)

“…Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.” (Psalm 144:1, NKJV)

“Overcome every form of evil as a victorious soldier of Jesus the Anointed One. For every soldier called to active duty must divorce himself from the distractions of this world so that he may fully satisfy the one who chose him.” (2 Timothy 2:3–4, TPT)
