Phil and Angela Lamb: Hidden Pathways and Deep Waters
Intro from Jeff Tharp:
For those of you who frequent our ElijahFire podcast, the Lambs will be familiar faces. For those of you who are unfamiliar, meet Phil and Angela Lamb! They are both emerging prophetic voices and proud parents of three amazing children.
As a couple, they make up the indie pop/rock group Mountains in the Sea. They have a high bar for excellence and their music is fun, energetic, and full of unique innovations. But more than that, they carry a deep love for the Lord and carry His heart for people and our nation. It has been an absolute joy to get to know them both this year and to call them friends.
It is impossible to not feel uplifted when spending any amount of time with them. Whether that is virtually, in-person, or through an article such as this. They carry joy and hope with them wherever they go, and I know that you will blessed and encouraged!
For more on this couple, I would recommend watching ElijahFire Episode 524: Changing Frequencies In The Music Industry on Rumble, or wherever you listen to podcasts!

The Shaking Will Reveal Hidden Pathways by Phil Lamb
There are doors that have been inaccessible that will suddenly appear in these months ahead. The Lord showed me a picture of a couple of hillsides pressed up next to each other. Then a shaking earthquake took place, and suddenly there appeared a doorway between the hills that had once been hidden before.
I then saw people mining a mine shaft. They chose to go in one direction and worked and worked. They spent all their effort going in that direction, thinking it would eventually pay off. Their efforts showed very little pay off, though, after the tons of time they had put in.
They looked defeated and looked as if they could hardly take anymore. Then a major shaking took place in there as well, but they were all okay. They got their bearings and got up only to realize that there was gold and precious gems on the other side of the mine where they had started digging. The gold and precious gems had been uncovered just enough that the miners could see them lining the whole wall. They quickly began working on that side and found gem after gem, and with much more ease. Their pickaxes were accomplishing more with every single swing.
There have been a handful of years where many of us have put our all into what we know the Lord has called us to. We’ve pressed and pressed and put all that we’ve had into seeing the fruit of the things that He’s shown us will come to pass. For many, it’s pushed us to the edge of hardly being able to go on anymore because of the spiritual warfare and fatigue. We can’t ever give up though.
God is bringing these things to pass that He has shown us, and He will not fail. When it is in His perfect timing, nothing can or will stop what God has spoken or shown His people. Get ready, because when this shaking comes, paths will open up that we never even knew existed, and we will see what He had planned for us all along. It will all make sense. Keep pressing forward.
The Mechanics Are the Same by Angela Lamb
The other night before I went to sleep, the Lord showed me a vision. In the vision, I was walking out on the water of a fairly smooth lake (like a lake we have here in Washington State), and it was dark outside.
At first, I was walking on the water just near the shore. It was shallow, maybe a foot deep. (Photo via Freerange Stock)
The Lord was walking next to me, leading me and teaching me how to walk on the water.
Then the scene changed, and we had gone out to where the water was a little deeper. He was there teaching me again. The water was still not too deep, so if I were to sink, I wouldn’t drown; maybe it would be up to my chest or neck.
But then the scene changed again, and He had taken me out to the deep waters. Very deep. It was dark all around. The water was dark, but I was still walking above it with Him. I could see Him still, as if illuminated by moonlight.
Then He spoke to my heart: “The mechanics are the same.”
In that instant, I knew what He was saying. The mechanics of walking on water are the same, whether you’re right next to the shore or out on the deep waters. The act of stepping and walking with Him is the same. Nothing had changed in what I had to do.
I just had to keep my eyes on Him, keep walking the same way as Him. The only thing that would mess me up was fear or doubt—getting afraid of the deep water and the “what ifs.” But He had already taught me. And the walking now was just the same as before. All I had to do was the same thing: walk with Him, trust Him, and not worry about the water or the wind, or about the darkness or what lurked under the surface.
For the past several years, the Lord has graciously been leading us by the hand, taking us out a little deeper and a little deeper. He has been teaching us to walk with Him, above the water, and not get tripped up by the darkness of the depths of what has been happening below our feet. Now He’s going to lead many of us out to the deep waters.
But, oh, I cry at how gracious and good He is! The mechanics are just the same. We will just do what He’s already taught us—to keep walking with Him, just like we have before. (Photo via Flickr)
The only thing that’s changed is the circumstances around us, but we don’t have to do anything different—just keep in step with Him and TRUST Him. Don’t let the darkness or the depths make you begin to doubt now. Just keep walking, just like before. The mechanics are the same.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:2 ESV)
The Lord has been so gracious and gentle, leading us out on the waters a little deeper at a time. Keep trusting Him.
“And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. But when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, ‘It is a ghost!’ and they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.’
“And Peter answered Him, ‘Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.’ He said, ‘Come.’ So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, ‘Lord, save me.’ Jesus immediately reached out His hand and took hold of him, saying to him, ‘O you of little faith, why did you doubt?'” (Matthew 14:25–31 ESV)
