‘America is Respected Again’: Colombia First Refuses, Then Caves to ‘All of President Trump’s Terms’

Petro quickly reversed course, offering his presidential plane to assist in repatriating the deportees, signaling a victory for Trump’s tough stance.
“The Government of Colombia has agreed to all of President Trump’s terms, including the unrestricted acceptance of all illegal aliens from Colombia returned from the United States, including on US military aircraft, without limitation or delay,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement received by Pj media. “Based on this agreement, the fully drafted IEEPA tariffs and sanctions will be held in reserve, and not signed, unless Colombia fails to honor this agreement. The visa sanctions issued by the State Department, and enhanced inspections from Customs and Border Protection, will remain in effect until the first planeload of Colombian deportees is successfully returned.” Leavitt added, “Today’s events make clear to the world that America is respected again. President Trump will continue to fiercely protect our nation’s sovereignty, and he expects all other nations of the world to fully cooperate in accepting the deportation of their citizens illegally present in the United States.” This is a tremendous victory for President Trump. After Colombia unexpectedly refused to accept US military flights carrying deported illegal immigrants over the weekend, President Donald Trump responded with epic force. In a post on Truth Social, Trump criticized Colombia’s socialist president, Gustavo Petro, accusing him of jeopardizing US national security. In retaliation, Trump announced immediate measures, including tariffs on Colombian imports, visa bans for officials and their families, enhanced cargo inspections, and financial sanctions. “My office has been alerted about an agency contractor attempting to obscure its DEI offices and programming in direct violation of the Trump administration’s executive orders,” Sen. Cruz wrote in a social media post, citing Monday’s executive order ending all government DEI offices and affiliations with DEI-activist contractors. Cruz posted a letter by a contractor’s Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer to the staff, detailing the scheme to disguise two DEI offices and a position by renaming them. The names of both the organization and the officer are redacted in Cruz’s post. “We want to assure everyone that the heart of what our offices do remains the same,” the DEI Officer writes, announcing the “plan to reframe our work and rebrand our offices.” “Diversity,” “equity” and “inclusion” are being replaced with “access,” “culture” and “opportunity,” the letter explains:
“For the past four years, Democrats mandated that all taxpayer-funded scientific research and development (R&D) must incorporate DEI values,” Cruz writes, promising that “THAT ENDS NOW!” “I stand committed to working with the Trump administration to root out the harmful discriminatory DEI activities throughout the government,” Cruz says. The contractor’s ploy is redolent of that of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) movement, where many ESG activists have begun to rename ESG now that the public is beginning to discover its true nature and consequences. Trump’s executive order is part of a broader initiative to return America to a merit-based system and away from identity-based preferences. But it’s not just the federal government. Our own Rick Moran wrote earlier this month about how McDonald’s is making big changes to its DEI policies, and back in November, I wrote about how Walmart plans to do the same. Other corporate giants, including Amazon, Meta, Ford, Lowe’s, John Deere, Tractor Supply, and Harley-Davidson, are making similar moves. Even the several major universities are following suit. Well, now it looks as if the wokest of all the woke retailers has finally seen the writing on the wall, and has come to understand how harmful these programs are to business and society in general. According to CNBC, “In a memo sent to its employees, Target [said] it will end its three-year DEI goals, stop reports to external groups like the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index and end a program focused on carrying more products from Black- or minority-owned businesses.” The memo, which was written by Kiera Fernandez, the retail chain’s chief community impact and equity officer (is that even a real job?) reportedly stated: Many years of data, insights, listening and learning have been shaping this next chapter in our strategy. And as a retailer that serves millions of consumers every day, we understand the importance of staying in step with the evolving external landscape, now and in the future—all in service of driving Target’s growth and winning together. In addition to that, activist Robby Starbuck reports that “Target will not market pride merchandise to kids going forward, this was not in their statement today but confirmed to me by a Target rep via phone today.” He added that the retailer has over 415,000 employees, and “this won’t just create a healthier environment for employees who will have a neutral workplace without feeling that divisive issues are being injected, but it will also extend to their many suppliers who will no longer feel pressure to endorse these policies.” … Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here Continue reading Here.

[FoxNews.com] President Donald Trump will sign an executive order to reinstate service members booted from the military for declining to get COVID-19 vaccine jabs, according to the White House. “The Executive Order directs the Secretary of Defense to reinstate all members of the military (active and reserve) who were discharged for refusing the COVID vaccine and who request to be reinstated,” according to the White House fact sheet. An expert in national security—and in the Iron Dome, in particular—praised Trump’s action as the fulfillment of President Ronald Reagan’s strategic defense plan. According to a news release provided early to The Daily Signal, Trump’s executive order “directs the implementation of a next generation missile defense shield for the United States against ballistic, hypersonic, advanced cruise missiles, and other next generation aerial attacks.” The order “accelerates the development and deployment of Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor Layers, proliferated space-based interceptors, a Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, capabilities to defeat salvoes prior to launch, non-kinetic missile defense capabilities, and underlayer and terminal-phase intercept capabilities.” The order directs a review of America’s current missile defense posture “to defend United States troops deployed abroad” and cooperation with US partners and allies on missile defense technology. The White House characterized “the threat of attack by ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missiles” as “a catastrophic threat,” warning that the threat has increased over the past 40 years. “Notwithstanding this increasing threat, United States homeland missile defense policy has been limited to staying ahead of rogue nation threats and accidental or unauthorized missile launches,” the document states. On this Holocaust Remembrance Day, the families of the freed hostages are celebrating what they could only hope they’d see —a reunion with their loved ones.
Thousands in Israel cheered the Israel Defense Forces soldiers’ return. Erik Kwailo, a US-Israeli citizen, joined the crowd. “I live close by and I came to support the cause and we want all the hostages to come home, obviously, so we are waiting for that to happen,” he said. After the October 7, 2023 murders and kidnapping, CBN News interviewed Sasha Ariev, sister of hostage Karina Ariev, who told us about her last conversation with her sister. She told us, “She called to say goodbye and that she loved us. ‘Keep the parents strong and do not keep in sorrow.’ (The) last text message (was), ‘The terrorists—they are here. I love you. I am scared. They are here. They are abducting us.'” Sasha said of her sister, “Maybe you don’t see me crying, but I am broken and devastated inside. I’m just trying to keep it inside for my family and to believe and spread the hope that she and all the other hostages and missing people will come home. I love my parents but she’s in first place. She was born for me so I will have someone in my life. I believe she will come back to me.” Karina and now a total of six more hostages are free as part of the latest ceasefire-hostage deal. Before their release, Hamas paraded the four women on a stage decorated with anti-Israel slogans. In defiance, the women gave the victory sign to the crowd of Palestinians assembled to harass them. Meanwhile, some of the 90 Palestinian prisoners released in the deal returned to Ramallah in the West Bank. In all, nearly 2,000 prisoners, some of whom murdered Israelis, are to be freed during phase one of the deal. The Times of London columnist Melanie Phillips told CBN News, “Now, these, people, many of them, have the most heinous murders on their records—murders of Israeli Jews. And they intend to do it again.” Many analysts, including Phillips, love to see the hostages freed, but they see the agreement as bad for Israel and good for Hamas. “Israel is required to stand back for at least six weeks, while more and more aid is poured into Gaza. Now, this means that Hamas—there are two Hamas battalions that are still left in Gaza—and Israel is forced to stand by while Hamas reorganizes itself, re-equips itself…recovers its powers, exists, survives—and consequently, it thinks it has won,” Phillips declared. We asked Amiad Cohen of the Israeli Freedom Center, “Do you see that Hamas is reconstituting itself, inside Gaza during this time?” He replied, “Definitely. Hamas is trying to – it’s invested most of its military power to – control the Palestinians in Gaza. They don’t need to invest too much power because the support of the Palestinian people for Hamas is high. But they are investing to be the power to run the Gaza Strip.” On the war front, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude to President Donald Trump for releasing critical weapons held up by the Biden administration. “Thank you, President Trump, for keeping your promise to give Israel the tools it needs to defend itself, to confront our common enemies, and to secure a future of peace and prosperity,” the prime minister said. Speaking with reporters on Air Force One, Trump said he would like to see Arab countries take in many of the people of the Gaza Palestinians. “You’re talking about probably a million and a half people,” he noted, “And we just clean out that whole thing.” On this Holocaust Remembrance Day, the families of the freed hostages are celebrating what they could only hope they’d see—a reunion with their loved ones.
