Ground level news from Pastor in Beni,DRC
Dear in the Lord,
Last Wednesday after noon the president of the election commission of
DRC, NANGA, declared that the people of Beni, Butembo and Yumbi will
not have election for the president because of Ebola and army groups.
These people will only elect members of provincial and national
parliament on March
And the president who will win the election will be proclaimed on 18
Januray 2019.
Beni,Butembo and Yumbi has one million and 200 000 people who could
elect the opposition LAMUKA candidate Martin Fayulu as the president
whom they expected to be a mean for restoring peace in these
territories that will not elect next Sunday.
People of Beni and Butembo are very disappointed and they started
manifesting since yesterday the whole day. And there were sound of
guns in Beni and even now there is still sounds of guns.
They are telling the president of the election commission to allow
them to elect also on Sunday
May you pray for Beni, Butembo and Yumbi and the entire DRC because
even the Europeen diplomatic officer has been given 48 hours for
leaving DRC since yesterday because the Europens have refused to
removed the charges against the government leaders who violated the
human rights like the candidate of the ruling party Emmanuel RAMAZANI.
