The Tongue of a Serpent

The Lord showed me a vision regarding many media outlets, journalists, reporters and media sources. I saw them open their mouths and the forked tongue of a serpent came out.

They gathered information for their reporting and stories, and as they did, the information and words entered back into their mouths. They chewed these words and information in their mouths – moving and MANIPULATING them around in their mouths before perfecting what they wanted to release. Then they would open their mouths again and the words would be released from the “media mouth,” and the serpent’s tongue would then begin rattling and spitting forth its words like venom.

Then I heard the Lord say, “You will eat your words!” As He said this, I saw a shaking in the atmosphere around what He said. His voice reverberated in the airwaves, causing a powerful wave to rise up before the venomous words that were coming out. These words hit the wave and were reversed back upon them with full force, like a tsunami, back into the mouths of the media.

These venomous words filled their mouths, but then their mouths were shut, causing them to chew until they swallowed their own poisonous words. The toxicity, poison and substance of these words filled their bellies until they could no longer digest them; then I saw them bend in half and fall to their knees.

“They Will Eat Their Words”

The Lord spoke to me about this saying, “I will bring them to their knees! They will eat their words, for I am exposing the wickedness and schemes of the enemy in the Media Mountain!” He started to highlight how, over the past days, weeks and months, it’s becoming more and more apparent how the enemy is increasingly at work within the media. Their reporting and privileged position is being abused by many people, intentionally causing division, drama, fear, pain, lies, anger and rage among people.

We have been seeing and hearing increased activity in manipulation of the truth, misleading and false reporting, backlash and retaliation, causing people to turn against their government and leaders, then turning people against one another – all in the name of publicity, ratings and performance.

The media moguls are seeking the attention, response and reaction of the people no matter what the cost! Naively or intentionally, many reporters, journalists and others are buying into this or being bullied by increasing pressure to perform and deliver.

Then I saw the Lord’s hand coming down upon the Media Mountain. It cupped over the airspace around this mountain, placing pressure upon the airspace and airwaves. This pressure caused demonic spirits to squirm and retreat from the mountain top, and I saw the heads of several large serpents that were deep within the mountain come to the surface. I then saw the hand of the Lord grab them by the neck and squeeze them until each demonic head was fully exposed; then He pulled them out by the root.

Rise Up and Come Forth Out of the Shadows

Then I saw lights appear on the mountain. Lights came out of the shadows and started to move up the mountain. Lights also began to run toward the mountain and started climbing up. The Lord said, “Many good people have been bullied, silenced and pushed into the background, hiding away, intimated and in fear of backlash, of speaking out, or being taken down by the heads. Many people have even avoided careers and connections with media because of the negative press. But now is the time for these people to rise up and come forth out of the shadows – to stand up and be counted!

“For I will take down and expose the wickedness upon the Media Mountain, and the proud and unjust will fall to their knees and eat their words! For I am raising up and will call forth righteous and just people, who will not abuse this privilege of power. I will give them a strong backbone that will keep them upright, humble and just. I will raise up a spirit of wisdom to surround them, and place four pillars like guards to keep them in line and accountable.”

Then I saw lights shining up toward Heaven and I saw the media reporting on supernatural and miraculous events taking place, bringing people to their knees in AWE and WONDER. It was causing people to eat their words, leaving them speechless at what was undeniably taking place.

In Psalm 52:1-9 TPT it says:

“You call yourself a mighty man, a big shot? Why do you boast in the evil you have done? Yet God’s loyal love will protect me and carry the day! Listen, O deceiver, trickster of others: Your words are wicked, harming and hurting all who hear them. You love evil and hate what is good and right. You would rather lie than tell the truth.

“You love to distort, devour, and deceive, using your sly tongue to spin the truth. But the Almighty will strike you down forever! He will pull you up by your roots and drag you away to the darkness of death.

Pause in His presence

“The godly will see all this and will be awestruck. Then they will laugh at the wicked, saying, ‘See what happens to those great in their own eyes who don’t trust in the Most High to save them! Look how they trusted only in their wealth and made their living from wickedness.’ But I am like a flourishing olive tree, anointed in the house of God. I trust in the unending love of God; His passion toward me is forever and ever. Because it is finished I will be praising you forever and giving you thanks. Before all your godly lovers I will proclaim your beautiful name!”

Romans 14:11-13 NIV says, “It is written: ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’ So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.”

Let Us Pray!

I believe this word and vision speaks as a warning to some people in media and also offers keys to us in how we must pray to see the enemy silenced, exposed and removed. But it also speaks as an invitation and encouragement to those of you who are in media, or called to have influence in media, to GET READY TO RISE UP and take your place where the Lord is calling you to.

I hear the Lord saying to these ones, “Be bold! Be strong! Be courageous and come!” Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Let’s pray for the media to be a truthful mouthpiece to the nations in the hands of the Lord! Pray for boldness, wisdom and protection for those He is raising up and calling forth! Pray for every wicked scheme of the enemy to be exposed, silenced and removed, and for every eye to see, ear to hear and heart to know that Jesus Christ is Lord over the nations! Amen.
