While prophesying to a precious brother recently, God gave me a significant word picture that I later realized was not just for him and his wife, but it was also for a multitude of saints who are seeking first God’s Kingdom and desiring to fulfill their God-given destinies in this season of harvest. The next day, I received a wonderful, confirming, personal word from a very unexpected but highly respected source. I have to say that I’m very excited about what God is about to do.
The following is what God showed me while prophesying to my brother in Christ. I saw parallel lines drawn going straight ahead with other lines merging from the side. I quickly recognized it as a freeway with merging on-ramps for vehicles leaving the slower streets to join the fast-moving traffic of the freeway.
Here’s the simple interpretation:
First of all, vehicles normally represent ministries in visions and dreams.
Secondly, the freeway is meant for fast-moving traffic. I realize that there can be traffic jams that mess with that goal, but it was created to move traffic at much higher speeds. In my vision, the freeway represented ministries that are moving with God and have a high level of success and influence. They are going to the nations. Their media releases are going viral and they are being used by God in powerful ways.
Thirdly, when we drive in the city, we find ourselves dealing with slow-moving traffic, often with many stops and starts at intersections, caused by stop signs, traffic lights, etc. We are also distracted by many things, including pedestrians crossing at crosswalks or jaywalking, honking horns, shops advertising their goods, motor bikes and bicycles, delivery trucks and the occasional beggar asking for handouts. We sometimes also have to slow down for potholes or actually stop and wait for construction crews fixing those potholes.
Multitudes of Christians with valid ministry calls on their lives find themselves stuck on city streets, fighting to keep moving forward, and they have felt like they’re making very little or no progress. Some have started churches that very few people attend. Some have written books that hardly anyone seems to want to read. Some have gone into business for Kingdom purposes, but never seem to be able to get the boost they need to increase their potential. And many more know they have a call on their lives, but don’t feel worthy because they are still struggling with various temptations and weaknesses of the flesh. (Photo via Pixabay)
To all those who have found themselves in a place of frustration and/or discouragement, I bring you good news. But first, let me ask a few questions:
Are you totally committed to laying down everything for Jesus and His Kingdom as His true disciple? When He prospers your ministry, whether in a business or a church setting, will you remain humble before Him and give Him all the glory? Finally, have you been pursuing the development of your spiritual and natural gifts by studying His Word and learning from the apostolic and prophetic leaders in the Kingdom today?
If you can honestly answer yes to these questions, I have wonderful news for you…
God has constructed many new on-ramps to His ministry freeway for those who have made themselves ready. He has a Kingdom purpose for doing this at this strategic time in history (His Story). It’s harvest time and He needs many more leaders with supernatural ministries and testimonies who can teach and disciple the multitudes of new baby Christians. So, you see, it’s not about you. It’s about His harvest. He wants you to succeed more than you do in the ministry that He’s called you to, because He needs vessels that He can use to bring in His harvest.
The Accelerator
However, as you already know, before you can merge with freeway traffic, you must accelerate until you can safely join the ranks of those moving in power and authority. God has installed an accelerator in your ministry, but you have to step on it and apply the pressure for this to happen. That means cooperating with God by seeking to know Him in a more intimate way so that you can hear His voice, grow your faith and be in sync with His purpose and plans. It means a deeper YES to His heart’s desires and the willingness to obey anything He says to you.
What about if you’re still struggling with certain weaknesses in your walk with God? The good news is that your present struggle does not disqualify you from future fruitfulness. The victory you desire will come in your follow-through, as you will see below.
I’m hearing the Holy Spirit now say to those whose ministries have been struggling on the crowded streets of the city:
“I’ve constructed new on-ramps for you. Are you ready and willing to accelerate your anointing and rise up to greater fulfillment and impact for My Kingdom advancement? Look for the on-ramps. They may be on your right or on your left. (Photo via Pxhere)
“Listen for My voice and I will guide you. Prepare your heart for a fast ride. I have prepared you for this. My hand is on you for good, like it was on Ezra and Nehemiah when I sent them to restore Jerusalem for My beloved people. Indeed, I am sending you to restore what the enemy has stolen from My Blood-bought people in many nations that have lost touch with their covenants with Me. Together, with many of My Jewish servants, Ezra and Nehemiah restored the walls of protection and the worship of their God.
“This is My mandate for you today. Restore the walls of protection in your nation from My enemy and yours, who has been tearing them down for too long. And restore the true worship of God – not religion, but worship from the heart and soul – in Spirit and Truth.”
As I shared with my brother when I received this vision, I believe God wants to accelerate your gifts of faith for healing and miracles. He wants to accelerate the discerning of spirits for many of His servants. He wants to stir up the passion for evangelism, the revelation for new teaching assignments and the many skills needed in the Body of Christ on the seven mountains or spheres of influence in our particular culture.
Don’t be discouraged by the traffic blocking your pathway to success. Find your on-ramp and press down on the accelerator. That accelerator is nothing less than deep intimacy with Jesus and a passion to seek first His Kingdom. And when you press down on that accelerator with a determination to serve God more fruitfully, God will give you amazing grace to overpower the weaknesses of your flesh, which you thought would disqualify you from ministry.
My own testimony proves that powerfully to me. When you carry His presence and abide in the Vine, His fruit and His gifts manifest and overpower every temptation. At the same time, He may direct you to do some soul healing or get deliverance through courtroom prayer, etc., but focus on being in a place where He can direct your walk by pursuing intimacy with Him. Just seek His presence more and more and victory will come as a byproduct.
I’m receiving this word for myself. How about you? Shalom!
