TIME TO GATHER TOGETHER IN HIS LOVE– Ron McGatlin
This is a now word for today.
God is calling out and drawing together His people with His manifest presence into living organisms of His pure holy love.
God is bringing a greater way of life by His holy presence in the midst of gatherings assembled in the name of Jesus. Being assembled in the name of Jesus means, in part, recognizing Jesus as the Head of the gathering and the Head of any entity involved in leadership of the gathering.
King Jesus being recognized and accepted as the true head of the church, business, family, school, city, neighborhood, ministry or any other relational situation causes the gathering to be “in the name of Jesus.” King Jesus is present in the midst of a group gathered in His name.
Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Recently I was worshiping with a group of only nineteen people gathered in the name of Jesus. Toward the end of the time of worship the Lord brought a major shift by the Spirit. As the speaker eased up to the podium, God had one of the ladies speak a brief word about getting up and forming a circle to hold hands and worship together.
The worship had already been really good especially after several youth had moved from their seats to stand in the front row to worship.
However, when we all joined hands in the circle there was an awesome presence of God instantly with us.
Worship in the circle was awesome, some falling to their knees, some crying out loud with tears literally flowing on to the floor.
Everyone was moved in the manifest presence of King Jesus in the midst of the circle. Spontaneously the Holy Spirit caused different ones to pray fervent prayers or speak a word from God to the group.
There was great love for God and for one another in our hearts. One lady, by the Spirit with tears falling to the floor saw Jesus sitting upon His throne in the middle of the circle with His crown upon His head.
THE MOVE OF GOD TODAY
I believe this is a part of the move of God today. There are many places where God in His manifest presence is turning the hearts of His people to pure holy love in the life of the Spirit. This is the time of groups turning from business as usual to Spirit life of love in His holy presence. His manifest presence melts us into one with Him and with one another.
The common characteristic of the groups that are truly in the name of Jesus is the love and presence of Spirit God. Deep true worship of God is the main activity of these gatherings.
As the true worshipers gather in the name of Jesus, they become assembled by the Holy Spirit each one bringing his or her part to the common union of the group of believers assembled with Christ Jesus in their midst.
Though this was a fresh glorious thing for this group and a movement toward the powerful works of Spirit God among the group, I know that this same level of Spirit love and personal relationship with God in His manifest presence is happening in groups across the world.
The works of Spirit God in the gatherings will be different from one gathering to the next each time we are assembled in the name of Jesus. However, there are some characteristics that are probably consistent throughout this season of God’s moving in the world.
The all-consuming fire of the love of God melts away anything that separates or divides the group.
Different callings and giftings are blended in the Spirit of truth and fit together in unity, becoming one with God in His pure holy love.
Spiritual eyes and ears are opened and focused upward toward the high places of God on things above the troubling strife of the fallen world around us.
Peace beyond understanding floods our heart in His Holy presence from heaven manifesting within us and with us.
Courage and strength flow into our souls preparing us to pour out His love in wisdom and power to change the atmosphere around us.
The glory of the King and His kingdom realigns all of our thoughts and sets our course to His perfect plan and purpose of His will for us.
We know that in love with Him all things are possible.
We can be and do anything that we see Him doing or hear Him saying.
Nothing is impossible to us in Christ and Christ in us. We are His beloved and He is ours.
We abide in Him and He in us, and all we ask in His name He will do.
This is the walk of Spirit life in God guiding and empowering life on earth.
This is the kingdom of God manifesting from heaven into this world.
This is the convergence of heaven and earth in His people on earth.
DO NOT FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLING OF YOURSELVES TOGETHER!
The Lord is calling His people to be knit together in groups for strength to endure the times that we are entering, and for power and wisdom to carry the love of His kingdom to fill this world with His glory.
Assembly is beyond a gathering. A gathering is the pieces or parts coming together like a box of parts. Assembly is the process of putting all the pieces and parts together into one useful assembly. One could gather all the parts of a fine automobile in a pile. But they must be assembled according to a master plan with each part in its place doing its specific job in order to have a fine new vehicle.
Together we become the heaven empowered vehicle fueled with His love, power and wisdom to redeem and restore the fallen world by bringing forth His kingdom from heaven to redeem this world.
We are fully able to endure the hardship of the world for the joy set before us of the King of Glory coming through us as gates opened wide for Spirit God to fully rule and reign in this world. (Psalm 24:7-10).
This is the work of God in us and with us, as we fully are assembled as a people and place where King Jesus can fully abide from heaven on earth.
THE HEAVENLY CONVERGENCE
This is the convergence of heaven and earth.
It is the mountain of God, the heavenly New Jerusalem Bride, the city of God, the heavenly assembled gathering of King Jesus, just men made mature, innumerable companies of angels, and all that are registered in heaven. Assembled to hear the voice of God that shakes the earth and receive the kingdom that cannot be shaken. (Hebrews 12:22-28).
CLEANSING JUDGMENT OF THE FALLEN WORLD
We have NOT come to the mountain of darkness and tempest burned with fire and blackness, and the trumpet voice of words that the hearers begged to hear no more because they could not endure the words spoken, the mountain that if even a beast touched it must be stoned or shot with an arrow, a sight so terrifying that even Moses was exceedingly afraid and trembling. (Hebrews 12:18-21).
Yes, everything that can be shaken will be shaken so that only that which cannot be shaken shall remain. (Hebrews 12:25-27).
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28-29.
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32.
