KINGDOM PRAYER OF JESUS AND HIS BRIDE – Ron McGatlin

PRAYER IS SPIRIT COMMUNION WITH GOD

It may or may not use words.

Prayer is Spirit connection by the media frequency of love that fills the atmosphere in communion with God.

The spiritual intercourse of Spirit God becoming one Spirit in mankind is the marriage of the Lamb of God of heaven with His purified Bride on earth.

Prayer is a part of the process of earth becoming “as it is in heaven.” It is the starting point of the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.

Multitudes of God’s people becoming one with God by Spirit love communion is the manifesting (coming) of Christ on earth establishing the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.

COMING INTO COMMUNION IS FALLING IN LOVE WITH GOD

For the past two millennia we have been moving toward this season of widespread discovery of love communion with God bringing forth Christ Jesus into the world establishing God’s presence in His kingdom with us on earth.

Jesus laid out the clear way into the phenomenon of entering God’s presence. The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray and He gave them a model prayer that shows us the way to becoming one with God.

THE WAY INTO BEING ONE WITH GOD

For many, this model prayer seems to be a simple and easily memorized prayer. Simple is often profound and greatly inclusive. I pray the Holy Spirit will open our hearts to more of the Spirit reality of this prayer today!

Matthew 6:9-12:
In this manner, therefore, pray:
“Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.

Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and
the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

“Our Father in heaven”
Acknowledging that we truly are a child of God. And that we know and acknowledge Him as our Father. Our Father is in heaven. Heaven is a Spirit place and God is a Spirit. We are a Spirit if we are a child of a Spirit.

We as Spirit beings speaking to our Father Spirit being is Spirit conversation in the same Spirit realm. We must be in the same Spirit realm. Thus, we are communing in oneness with God as children with their Father and becoming one Spirit with God.

Without prayer communion with God, there is no kingdom of God manifesting on earth in His people. Prayer communion is not optional!

“Hallowed be Your name”
Acknowledging His glory. By praying these words, we truly reverence our Father as Holy and His name as sacred. And we acknowledge His greatness, majesty, magnificence, glory, and supreme authority.

As His children we are partakers of His attributes as an inheritance. We are profoundly thankful for this and filled with praise and love to our Father.

“We enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name.” (Psalm 100:4.)

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Acknowledging God’s plan and purpose on Planet Earth and voicing our agreement while asking God to bring forth His plan and purpose, His will, and His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Our agreement opens the way for Father God to bring forth His kingdom now on earth.

The goal is not as much about getting us to heaven when we die as it is about bringing heaven to earth and us living in the kingdom of heaven on earth now and in the afterlife.

Jesus leads us in this model prayer to pray for the kingdom of God to manifest and God’s will to be done before we pray for our daily bread. We can expect God to provide all we need when we truly seek His kingdom FIRST, above all else. We cannot expect His daily provision if we seek anything else before or more than we seek the kingdom and the will of God.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33.

Give us this day our daily bread.
Acknowledging that God is our source of daily life provisions. This is not asking for tomorrow but for “this day” today and not something for the future. This prayer is for today forever. Daily, today, we look to God for all our needs while we seek first God’s kingdom to manifest and His will to be done on earth TODAY. We are not praying for the kingdom to manifest someday in the future.

This model prayer from Jesus is a daily (today) prayer to be prayed daily. The kingdom of God is today, daily and His will is to be today.

And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
Acknowledging we need forgiveness from God and that God has the power and has provided the means of our forgiveness in Christ Jesus. Our continued walk as Spirit beings in a natural body affords us the need and opportunity to daily forgive and be forgiven. As we daily voice the administration of forgiveness toward all debtors or offenders or trespassers daily (today) we are also forgiven at the same time.

And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
Acknowledging that Father God has the power to deliver us from all temptations and all evil in this world. Our asking God to lead us and deliver us opens the way for Him to act quickly and powerfully to lead us into the kingdom of God life and deliver us from the treacherous life of the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and
the power and the glory forever.
Acknowledging that Father God is the rightful and fully capable owner of all the kingdom and that He always has the power and rightfully receives all the glory forever. Praying these words affirms our agreement that God and no other is the only ultimate owner of all creation including our lives and all that is seen or unseen today and forever. Today is the now portion of forever. Anything that is forever is today.

Amen.
Acknowledging our total agreement with every word and all that it means. So be it.

In the model prayer that Jesus gave us to pray, we have seen how that becoming one with God and His kingdom on earth are realities that begin in the Spirit communion of prayer.

JESUS’ PRAYED FOR YOU AND ME AND ALL OF HIS FOLLOWERS IN JOHN CHAPTER 17

Jesus prayed for His disciples and all of His followers who would believe including you and me. Truly Father God has and will continue to fulfill the prayers of Jesus that are written in John 17.

After this prayer, Jesus and His disciples went immediately to the Garden of Gethsemane. So, this is one of the last things that Jesus did in His life ministry before His crucifixion.

We cannot deal with the whole chapter here but will look at a few verses that are especially meaningful for us today.

John 17:1-4: “Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: ‘Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.”’

In verse 2, Jesus has authority over all flesh and is the giver of eternal life. In verse 3, He tells us that eternal life really is “that they know Father God, the only true God and Jesus Christ.” The intimate knowing (communing, abiding, becoming one) with God and Jesus is eternal, everlasting, abundant life.

Eternal life is now for all who truly know God and Jesus. That does not say they that know “about” God and Jesus. This is an intimate knowing relationship of truly becoming one with God and Jesus. This is Spirit communion literally manifested in this day as God in Christ and Christ in the reality of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

John 17:20-23: “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me…”

Jesus prayed that “You, Father are in Me, and I in You” and “that they may be one just as We are one. I in them and you in Me.”

The word is clear God is in Jesus and Jesus is in us that we can all be one. Spirit prayer is the beginning of truly becoming one with God and no longer having any life apart from God but living in the glory of Christ and God in this life now by the Spirit.

This is unity in heaven, Spirit unity of becoming one in and with God. Knowing God is for today. Being one with God is today.

John 17:25-26: “O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

The love with which God loves Jesus is in us. The love of God has consumed our life and we are not our own. We are bought with a price and Spirit God now lives in us to change the world by the power of His love.

Truly, Christ in us is the positive expectation and the now manifesting reality of the GLORY OF GOD!
