“Uniting diverse backgrounds and faiths, we share a resolute purpose: advocating for the elimination of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) curriculum pronouns, gender ideology and mixed bathrooms in schools.”

(Canada) — [Breaking Christian News] Wednesday’s nationwide protests against trans and LGBT+ agenda and indoctrination in schools in Canada saw tens of thousands of parents, students and other concerned citizens standing and marching in cities in every province. (Screengrab image: via Rebel News)

Signs saying “Leave Our Kids Alone”, “Education Not Indoctrination” and more were seen being held by protesters in both English and French.

Part of the protest was keeping children out of school for the day, and many were seen present with parents, even taking part by chanting, “Leave Us Alone! Leave Us Alone!”

Josh Alexander, the student who was suspended for saying there are only 2 genders, was present in Ottawa, Ontario for the 1Million March 4 Children on Wednesday morning.

Rebel News of Canada spoke with Josh, who noted that it was “great to see so many people here early. It’s going to be interesting to see how the numbers go, and I want to see what the reaction is from the country, in all the cities and small towns that are holding protests…” (Screengrab image: via Rebel News)

“We’re certainly seeing a bit of a turning point,” Josh told Rebel News, adding that parents are “not going to take it much longer, and that’s encouraging to me.”

However, Liberal Unions provided counter-protesters during the March, who generally all wore masks, and held signs predictably accusing the other side of being “transphobes.”

Rebel News noted:

In recent days there has been heavy pushback from Union and Labour leaders who are slandering the protest as “fundamentally racist and transphobic” along with accusations of being “bigoted” and “hateful.”

But the powers that be in Canada cannot ignore the huge numbers of multi-faith protesters who turned out to support their children against LBGT indoctrination in schools. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

California Family Council (Sep 20, 2023)

“Parental involvement [is] essential to the healthy maturation of schoolchildren. The Escondido Union School District has adopted a policy without parent input that places a communication barrier between parents and teachers … For these parents, the new policy appears to undermine their own constitutional rights while it conflicts with knowledgeable medical opinion. An order enjoining the new district policy is in the better interests of the entire community, as well as the plaintiff teachers.” -Judge Roger T. Benitez

[CaliforniaFamily.org] Earlier this year, two teachers sued Escondido Union School District (EUSD) and the state education board over policies that forced them to keep parents in the dark when it comes to students’ intentions to “change” genders and socially “transition” at school. Recently, in a major victory for parents’ rights, a federal judge has blocked the district from enforcing these policies. (Image: Pexels)

This initial ruling gives a huge legal shot in the arm to school boards who have been threatened by Attorney General Rob Bonta for passing notification policies that forbid teachers and administrators from keeping secret the gender identity of students from parents.

According to EUSD’s policies, teachers are required to use students’ “preferred pronouns” or chosen names during the school day, but when speaking with parents, teachers are instructed to use the students’ biological pronouns and legal names.

Further, the district’s policy prohibits “revealing a student’s transgender status to individuals who do not have a legitimate need for the information, without the student’s consent.” The policy goes on to say that “parents or caretakers…do not have a legitimate need for the information,” according to the lawsuit.

Judge Roger T. Benitez raised concerns regarding the constitutionality of this policy and issued an injunction preventing the district from enforcing it until the lawsuit has undergone the judicial process.

“Parental involvement [is] essential to the healthy maturation of schoolchildren,” wrote Benitez. “The Escondido Union School District has adopted a policy without parental input that places a communication barrier between parents and teachers … For these parents, the new policy appears to undermine their own constitutional rights while it conflicts with knowledgeable medical opinion. An order enjoining the new district policy is in the better interests of the entire community, as well as the plaintiff teachers.”

Benitez also referenced transgender doctor Erica Anderson, who said that parents know their children best and are best able to determine if their child is grappling with gender dysphoria and how to handle it.

The judge went on to mention that children often make “impetuous and ill-considered life decisions,” and that under the Constitution, parents have the right to direct their child’s “education, health, and upbringing.” He stated it was “unlikely” that constitutional rights to privacy for children include a “right of confidentiality from their own parents.”

Finally, the order described the parental exclusion policies as a “trifecta of harm” and detailed the abuses it imposes on children, parents, and teachers.

Such policies harm “the child who needs parental guidance and possibly mental health intervention to determine if the incongruence is organic or whether it is the result of bullying, peer pressure, or a fleeting impulse. It harms the parents by depriving them of the long recognized Fourteenth Amendment right to care, guide, and make health care decisions for their children. And finally, it harms plaintiffs [teachers] who are compelled to violate the parent’s rights by forcing plaintiffs to conceal information they feel is critical for the welfare of their students—violating plaintiffs’ religious beliefs.”

The teachers are being represented by Thomas More Society attorneys. “This is an untenable situation to put teachers in,” explained Thomas More Society Special Counsel and Partner Paul M. Jonna. “Traditionally, educators have been viewed as highly significant players in a child’s development, partnering with parents—not supplanting them—in the incredibly important responsibility of raising children. The State of California and the Escondido Union School District have created an unconscionable scenario where it pits these two key influencers in a child’s life against one another by putting up an intentional curtain of dishonesty between them.”

Jonna also noted on X, previously known as Twitter, that because of this major federal court victory, California school districts are “now on notice that policies that require teachers to hide information from parents about their students’ gender identity violate the US Constitution.”

This case is far from over, but the parental exclusion policy will be halted while the lawsuit proceeds in court.

Educators should never be required to deceive parents about information pertaining to their children’s mental health. Not only is this a violation of parental rights, but it is also a violation of teachers’ freedom of speech and religion. Further, children should not be left on their own to navigate difficult issues such as gender dysphoria. This ruling is a major step in the right direction for parental rights and children’s safety in California. Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

Our military is in need of new recruits, but sexual perversion is not the way to draw them in. Thank You, Lord for this decision!

From The Federalist: The US Navy confirmed on Tuesday it has discontinued an online recruiting initiative featuring an enlisted drag queen that was aimed at bringing new sailors into the service. In May, The Daily Caller revealed that the Navy brought on Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley—an active-duty drag queen who goes by the stage name Harpy Daniels and identifies as non-binary—to be a “Navy Digital Ambassador”… Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

“At the Constitutional Convention in 1787, they reached an impasse. Benjamin Franklin stood and said, ‘Gentleman, I’m a very old man, but I have lived long enough to know that, if a sparrow cannot fall without God knowing it, then a republic cannot rise without His assistance…'” -US Senate Chaplain Barry Black

[Faithwire.com] A Connecticut school board has reportedly axed prayers before board meetings following a complaint from a “concerned community member” and an atheist organization. (Image: Pixabay)

The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), an atheist activist group, contacted the Enfield School District to complain about the prayers purportedly routinely unfolding before meetings, CT Insider reported.

Enfield’s Board of Education is said to have halted the prayer practice earlier this year.

The FFRF released an Aug. 31 statement claiming the organization was able to get prayer “removed” from the board meetings, calling the practice of board members invoking God at these gatherings “offensive.”

“The Enfield Public Schools system has removed the offensive practice of opening its board meetings with a prayer after the Freedom From Religion Foundation objected,” the statement opened.

The FFRF announcement then shared one of the prayers purportedly uttered by board member Jean Acree. It read:

Heavenly Father, we ask You to bless us with your presence at this meeting tonight. Bless all who are in attendance. Please, Lord, open the hearts and minds of this board as we listen to our presenters and our audience in attendance so that we will make sound decisions on the issues that are of great concern. I also pray for what is best for all of our Enfield children. In Jesus’ name, Amen… Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

“All of this evidence could have been brought forth. I don’t know if any of it was. I have to believe it wasn’t, because if it was, there’s no possible way the judge could have dismissed the charge.” -Zimmerman’s attorney Robert Dunn

(Saginaw Township, MI) — [LifeSiteNews.com] A judge on Friday dismissed a felony charge against a Michigan abortionist who allegedly struck a pro-life activist with his vehicle earlier this year, causing him to suffer a broken leg. The attorney for the pro-life advocate told LifeSiteNews he plans to bring the charge again. (Screengrab image)

On Friday, a Saginaw County judge dismissed the case against 88-year-old abortionist Theodore Roumell, who was charged with felonious assault for running into pro-life activist Mark Zimmerman in the driveway of the Women’s Center of Saginaw on Friday, June 23.

Zimmerman told LifeSiteNews at the time he had been outside the abortion facility with about five other pro-life Christians to “share the Gospel and also offer physical help” to abortion-seeking women, as well as to plead with the abortionists not to kill babies.

He said he began to walk across the driveway to the clinic just as Roumell started to pull in, “faster than normal,” at which time Roumell ran into him with his vehicle, driving over his knee before backing up.

On Friday, a district court held a preliminary hearing to consider the evidence in the case. Both Zimmerman and Roumell were in attendance, and Zimmerman testified that he had been “stunned” and “trying to get out of the way” of Roumell’s car as the abortionist drove toward him, a local ABC affiliate reported.

Video footage played during the hearing shows Zimmerman standing in the middle of the driveway and then gradually walking backwards across the road in front of Roumell’s car as the abortionist continued to slowly drive forward, ultimately striking Zimmerman and running over him with his left front wheel.

Roumell’s attorney told the court that Zimmerman had been intentionally blocking the driveway in violation of state and federal law. (Screengrab image)

On Monday, Zimmerman’s attorney Robert Dunn told LifeSiteNews that the case was scrapped in the preliminary hearing because “the district judge, after hearing the evidence, dismissed the case on the grounds that the evidence was insufficient.”

The attorney, who said he wasn’t present in court on Friday, said it’s unusual for a case to be dropped in a preliminary hearing when the alleged victim testifies, since “credibility issues are for a jury in circuit court at the trial, not for the district judge in ruling at a preliminary hearing.”

He said he thinks the judge must not have seen the evidence he had compiled to support the case, including “signed witness statements… that the doctor had threatened to do this recently and then did it, and that there was a prior case at least ten years ago where he did this to somebody else”…

“Our delegations oppose any attempt to pretend to formally adopt any of the draft outcome documents in question. In addition, we reserve the right to take appropriate action upon the formal consideration of these four draft outcome documents in the coming weeks.” -from the Countries’ letter to the UN

[LifeSiteNews.com] Eleven countries have declared in a letter to the United Nations (UN) General Assembly president their opposition to a pandemic declaration calling for global vaccine access, digital health documents, and socialized, universal health coverage. (Image: Unsplash-Mathias Reding)

The “Political Declaration of the United Nations General Assembly High-level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR)” has been recently circulated among U.N. member states via a silence procedure in which silence is interpreted as acceptance of the document by a member state.

The declaration has been slated for adoption on September 20, ostensibly if no objections are voiced by member states. However, Health Policy Watch noted that it is unclear what impact the 11 nations’ objections will have on the declarations’ outcomes since there is a “possibility” the documents may be passed via a vote count rather than unanimously, as has been the custom.

According to the news outlet, despite the 11 countries’ objections, the Political Declaration on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) was adopted at Monday’s SDG Summit.

Writing to UN President Dennis Francis on September 17, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, North Korea, Eritrea, Iran, Nicaragua, Russia, Syria, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe also expressed their objections to the draft political declarations of the SDG Summit, the high-level meeting on universal health coverage (UHC), and the high-level meeting on the fight against tuberculosis… Subscribe for free to Breaking Christian News here

“This march serves as a tangible way to stand in solidarity with persecuted Christians—to raise our voices where theirs have been silenced…” -For the Martyrs CEO and founder Gia Chacon

[DailySignal.com] Hundreds are expected to join the “March for the Martyrs” in Washington, DC, next week as they peacefully march in solidarity with persecuted Christians around the world. (Screengrab image)

On Sept. 30, the nonprofit organization For the Martyrs will host its annual march to raise awareness about increasing persecution of Christians across the globe. The 2023 march will particularly highlight the plight of Christians in Nigeria, Iran, and Armenia.

“The March for the Martyrs is more than an event,” For the Martyrs CEO and founder Gia Chacon, 26, said in a statement, “it’s a declaration that we will not turn a blind eye to the suffering of our brothers and sisters in faith.”

“This march serves as a tangible way to stand in solidarity with persecuted Christians—to raise our voices where theirs have been silenced,” added Chacon, who founded the organization when she was 23 years old. “We invite you to join us in Washington, DC, on September 30th and take a stand for religious freedom and human dignity.”

Chacon told The Daily Signal that they expect around 500 attendees.

The March for the Martyrs will begin at 3 p.m. at Freedom Plaza in the nation’s capital and will conclude with a Night of Prayer for the Persecuted, at which attendees will hear from both survivors of persecution and advocates, including Marziyeh Amirizadeh, a survivor of persecution of Christians in Iran, and Robert Avetisyan, an official with the Armenian government, representing the disputed territory of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, where Azerbaijan on Tuesday launched an “anti-terrorist operation” against an Armenian enclave.

Chacon and her organization say that persecution of Christians is often overlooked and ignored by the mainstream media, though the number of those persecuted globally for their faith continues to rise.

According to the anti-persecution group Open Doors US, 360 million Christians were persecuted or discriminated against for their faith last year, while 5,259 Christians were abducted, 5,621 Christians were killed for their faith, and 2,110 churches and Christian buildings were attacked in the past year.
