The church doesn’t need another revival, we have been there done that and now our lives are no different than they were pre revival and some people’s live are even worst. This is not an opinion, this is first hand knowledge, as I was apart of a revival in which we went to church 4-5 days a week for 3-4 hours at a time. We worshiped for minimum of an hour, then had a minimum of an hour sermon, a 15 minute offering, and a minimum of an hour prayer time where people were radically touched by the power of God. I saw healings, heard testimonies of restored, revived and reconstructed marriages and families.

I myself was radically changed in this revival. But I also know of many people who are still just sitting in church waiting for the fire to fall again; people who have literally walked away from God and are engaged in Eastern religions like reiki and yoga. The destruction of their lives is of a measure I cannot describe as I get calls of another marriage ending in divorce more often than I want to tell about; another person who is engaged in homosexual lifestyles and these were people in revival with me. They had hands raised, they were on the worship team, they were on the prayer floor with me, tears streaming down their face.

That’s just what I saw in revival. That does not include all the salvations that happened in Brownsville or the healings that happened in Toronto. With all this manifest power of God where is the transformed lives?

The church does not need another revival, we need a reformation of the likes most are not ready for. Religion will resist this reformation as vehemently as they resisted the apostle Pauls message of Christ in you the hope of glory. Religion knows what they are doing is not changing lives, but they love functioning in their dysfunction so they just keep doing what they are doing and people just keep funding the same same but different Sunday situation hoping, wishing, maybe something will change.

We need a reformation; we need a 95 thesis; we need an Acts 2 outpouring, we need reformers, not revivalists; we need maturity not church growth; we need discipleship not more microphones. Hebrews 5:8 says, “Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.”

What is coming next for the church is going to grow us up, mature us, bring us back to the Bible and it will be painful at times. If you haven’t been to the gym in a long time, when you go back it hurts, but if you stay with it it makes you stronger, healthier and more fit for the Master’s use.

We need a church reformation, so we can mature, obey and live the way Yahweh has intended for us to do. We will never change national culture until church culture changes, for we have been given authority over the earth and honestly it doesn’t look good at all and its not the fault of politics, it is the fault of the church. We must have a reformation!
