“4 Things to Remember During Your Difficult Time”
Doug Addison, Los Angeles, CAFeeling the shift in the spiritual atmosphere? God is releasing some new things from Heaven right now! It may look as if the enemy is winning or that plans aren’t exactly panning out the way you were expecting, but this is a distraction from what is really going on. The enemy is trying to shift your focus away from what’s coming from Heaven and the Lord.
If life is feeling rocky right now—this could be your financial, emotional, spiritual or physical situations—you may be having trouble getting clarity on how you should handle it or what to do next.
Here are 4 things to remember during your difficult time:
1. Try Not to Make Any Major Decisions During Difficult Times
When you’re in the middle of a hard time, it’s usually not a great idea to make major decisions. Don’t get me wrong, there may be emergency situations that need to be dealt with immediately, but for the most part, it is wise to wait for God to renew your strength before making big, life-altering decisions.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 NIV)
2. Realize God Is Not the Giver of Bad Things
God is not in the business of punishing you. Jesus Himself said, “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:11 NIV)
The bad situations you’re walking through are from the enemy, not from God. God will use your difficult time to your advantage, but that doesn’t mean He set it in motion!
I went through a four-year health affliction, and some people said that it was a gift from the Lord in order to teach me something. My health issues were definitely not a gift, but God did use it to bless me.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28 NIV)
During this time, I came off the road from traveling all the time and God spoke deep revelation to my spirit. The Lord used my bad time for good!
3. Find Bible Verses to Help Back You Up
Bible verses are like a legal document between God and His children. When you begin to decree God’s Word, you’re showing God that you believe His promises and that you know He’s going to come through for you!
I share some great Bible verses to decree over your life in my latest prophetic word.
4. Watch for God to Move on Your Behalf
God will take what was intended for evil and turn it to good! This may not happen overnight or in a way you expect, but if you keep your eyes open, you’ll see God move on your behalf!
The Lord is with you, and He’s got your back covered!
Blessings,
Doug Addison
