(I just wanted to share a neat experience!)
For years 1-1-1 has stood out to me. I would see it constantly, so on Jan 11th (1-11), the presence of God was somehow just calling me…
Spent most of the day with God on Jan 11th (1-11), then Jan 12th I was still spending some time with God, but at one point went to do the few dishes in the sink. While washing a dish, I heard a gentle knock on the door. A technician was scheduled to arrive between 10-12 in the morning to fix a problem with my internet, and it was about 10:30 when the knock came, so I thought he had arrived. I quickly turned off the water and dried my hands and went to the door. I quickly opened the door, but no one was there. I was confused and wondered why the technician had knocked then hurried away. I opened the screen door to look around, but no one was around and could not have disappeared so quickly. I called out, “hello, hello”, looking around. No van was on the street and no person around.
It had been snowing all through the night and all morning and a thick layer of snow (about 6 inches) was all over the yard. As I looked on the ground, I realized that there were no human footprints on the ground (there were some squirrel prints around my tree, but none of those even on my porch)! At that point, I realized the knock had been from God.
The irony of that was that the night before I had read a prophecy about God wanting to visit people and He was spiritually “knocking on doors”! So Cool!!! I actually heard the knock!
Because the snow kept coming, the technician never did come and when I called to find out about my appointment, they said we were having “a national disaster” in our area. I kind of smiled at that point and told the person that I was talking to that I did not know that 6 inches of snow was a “national disaster”. Anyway, we kept getting more snow, and in some areas around me they registered 20 inches of snow. This was a Saturday and it kept snowing throughout the day, so I decided not to go to church on Sunday. I had thick snow all over the drive and a snow drift by my garage that looked over 2 feet deep. So on Sunday the 13th, I was sitting on my couch listening to Christian programming on YouTube and at the same time I was playing my game (Animal Crossing) on my Nintendo. About 1:30 PM while sitting on the couch, I heard a gentle knock on the door (3 knocks). My dogs started barking and rushed to the door. I figured it was probably some kids wanting to know if I needed my drive shoveled for money. I rarely get visitors and the only knocking usually is from postmen delivering packages, but this was a Sunday after a heavy snowstorm, so I just figured it was someone offering to shovel my drive. I quickly got up and went to answer the door…and just as before, no one was there. I had already forgotten the knock from the day before, so again was surprised when I saw no one! I literally repeated the same actions. I opened the screen and looked around, calling “hello, hello”, looking up and down the street (which was empty). Again I looked down at the snow, and saw no footprints (other than my own which I had left in the deep snow when I threw a bag in the trash the day before)! I realized that again Jesus had knocked on my door signifying He wanted to spend time with me! It was just SWEET to my spirit. I looked up the scripture “Behold I stand at the door and knock”, but while looking up that scripture, I found this one also from Luke 12 :35-3735Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning. 36Then you will be like servants waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once. 37Blessed are those servants whom the master finds on watch when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve and will have them recline at the table, and he himself will come and wait on them.…
(Considering that most of the YouTube videos I have been watching lately are about the Lord’s soon return, and I was ready to watch one called “Visitation”, it goes along with the knocks on the door! And the knocks were not my imagination, because even the dogs heard the knocking and ran barking to the door!!)
May His Presence Be With You
