“How to Uncover the Hidden Treasures of the Heart”
Stephanie Claiborne, Anchorage, Alaska
I believe the Lord is saying something to His Bride that will change our perspective about hidden treasures. This is what the Lord has been revealing to me: When we give Him our YES in all areas of our lives, we are then working in partnership with HIM for the betterment and advancement of the Bride, and He will then reveal the treasure that has been hidden in our hearts.
Love the Lord Your God with All Your Heart
I had recently read the Scripture in Mark 12:30 (NASB) where Jesus says: “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” I have always thought of this Scripture as a command (which it is), so that we would know what the Father requires of us. When I read this, I was reminded that as we go through various trials, losses, and even good times, we are to love Him with every part of our being. As we move in this direction with Him, He will honor what we bring before Him.
Revealing the Hidden Treasures
I then came across Isaiah 45:3 (NASB), and the Lord began to speak to me. This is what the Scripture says:
“I will give you the treasures of darkness
And hidden wealth of secret places,
So that you may know that it is I,
The Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.” (Photo via PickPik)I heard the Lord say that as you explore those places of your heart that have been closed off, the places where trauma has tried to invade, the Lord your God will reveal the hidden treasure that has been concealed. He is bringing us, HIS Bride, into a new place of conquest and dominion, where the riches of HIS glory can no longer be hidden away by pain, disappointment, trauma, or anything else that would cause us to not seek HIS face. The Lord is saying that as you lean into His strong name, He will give you what is needed to give Him your whole heart.
He Has Filled Your Wounds with Gold
I remember an experience that I had during worship in 2015, when I was a ministry school student. The Lord took me into an encounter/vision where I saw myself walking into what looked like a heart. I could see the wounds in the heart, but each place that was wounded was filled with gold. The Lord then showed me, at that very moment, that every wound which we have endured—every single painful place—HE has filled with gold! Your very painful and wounded places are filled with GOLD—TREASURE!
He Is Equipping His Bride to Walk in Her True Identity
This brings the following Scripture new life; as I read it, I came to understand what He is doing and how it all comes together for our greater good!
Proverbs 3:5-8 (NIV): “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.” (Photo via Unsplash)
HE is equipping the Bride to walk in her identity as an overcomer!
As you WALK in your identity as an overcomer—as one who knows that they are not only a child of God, but also a member of the Body—HE will bring nourishment to your bones, and your frame; and like the next verse says, “THEN YOUR VATS [YOU] WILL OVERFLOW WITH NEW WINE.” As you continue to uncover that hidden treasure, HE will make provision for you in all areas of your life!
