“…[A]nd the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.” (Exodus 2:23, KJV)
As so many people are interceding, like never before, during prayer calls, zoom calls, praying as individuals and with others for the United States, the upcoming election and the confirmation of the new Supreme Court Justice – this concerted effort by the Church has brought a huge breakthrough for righteousness and godliness in the United States which will affect the world.
United States, Pharaoh’s Chains Have Broken Off You!
Over the course of a few weeks, I was asking the Lord what needed to be broken or bound over the U.S. to bring change due to the drastic occurrences, disunity, falsehoods, and ungodliness of late. Then I heard the Lord talk to me about the spirit of Pharaoh, and I saw this dominating spirit being bound. Then suddenly, loudly and forcefully, I saw huge chains, put on the United States by the spirit of Pharaoh, snap and break off.
“And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.” (Exodus 1:14, KJV)
I was caught off guard as I had not thought about this principality named Pharaoh for a long time, even though it has been talked about before. We do know that this ungodly spirit holds back God’s people, the Church. Ridding ourselves from this spirit of bondage allows reformation to come and the Church to be free.
How to Verify a Spirit
Without the Lord’s specific insight and words of knowledge, often we can be remiss, as prayer warriors and leaders, in only looking for spirits like Jezebel and Leviathan, when there are more named spirits than we can count, much less name, that can affect us adversely.
The name of any spirit causing us havoc can surprise us all when we are made aware of it, as God always reveals things to us exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think (Eph 3:20); but it is always verified by its characteristics in the Word of God and in the natural.
“Let My People Go!”
I was reminded of the hard and oppressive religion and its spirits that the people of Israel experienced in Egypt with Pharaoh as ruler. In looking up the word “bondage” in the Bible, many Scriptures refer to Egypt as the “house of bondage” (Exodus 13:3,14; 20:2, Deuteronomy 5:6; 6:12; 8:14; 13:5,10, Joshua 24:17, Judges 6:8 NKJV). Egypt worshiped idols; they were hard-fast in their traditions and quite religious, and this melted onto the Israelites.
Pharaoh, who lusted after greed and power, was a false god considered to be the reincarnation of the god Horus; and it was thought that his soul was deeply integrated into the land. The occult, witchcraft and magic were apparent from this false deity, as evidenced in the Word of God. The erroneous beliefs of the afterlife and false “prayers” are apparent in Egyptian history and are also evidenced in years of archeology. (Photo via pixy.org)
The Spirit of Pharaoh Over the Church & the U.S.
I believe all these things have been apparent in our own culture today, oppressing the Church of the United States for decades, but they have been manifesting against us more, lately, because the enemy is nervous that the Church is interceding together in more unity and spiritual warfare.
In the spiritual realm, the spirit of Pharaoh always seeks to hold back God’s blessings, spiritual growth, and future in the Kingdom, keeping God’s people in bondage and paralyzed with fear and threats. Jehovah’s people could not be free to live and worship Him while in Egypt, as Pharaoh held the children of Israel in bondage to occult structures.
The Israelites suffered for centuries under the bullying effect of this spiritual atmosphere, as well as the abuse of slavery; but God’s people cried out and He heard them, just as God’s people today, who have served for years, will now reap the benefits of their hard labor and supplication – no longer under the oppression of this spirit that was insidiously set itself deep into our land.
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15, KJV)
I believe the spirit of Pharaoh, as a principality over the United States, has strangled righteousness in Government, Family, Religion and the other 4 (out of 7 Kingdom mountain structures) just as he did in Egypt of old. But in this hour, God is rolling the reproach of Egypt/Pharaoh off of His Church and this nation.
As the Church has been held in bondage and chains, not free in the spiritual realm to worship unabashed, and since signs, wonders and miracles have been held back, these now-broken chains have released the gifts of the Spirit even more! I believe this will bring changes in law, our freedom to worship, truth in media, and a new hunger for the One, True God like a deer pants for the water brook.
Exodus 8:1 talks about how the Lord commanded Moses to go before Pharaoh and tell him to release His people so that they could serve Him, and many translations say, “so they can worship Me.”
“And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let My people go, that they may serve Me.” (Exodus 8:1, KJV)
In Egypt, after the blood of sacrificial lambs was applied by the Israelites to their doorposts, as instructed by the Lord, the angel of death passed over their households; they were saved by the blood. Likewise, now we too can free ourselves from oppressive principalities by the Blood of Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrificial Lamb.
Pharaoh had a characteristic of hard-heartedness and pride, entertaining these spiritual principalities and strongholds, just as many in government, and even among God’s people and some leaders in the Church do today. Pharaoh’s heart was hardened more and more with each test, until God’s chosen were free and could eventually set out to venture into the Promised Land. Not only were they set free, but they came out with the gold, silver and riches that they had broken their backs to attain under duress by the Egyptians, with some even giving their lives; but now it was theirs.
Throughout history, and even recently, the Church itself has had disunity, denominationalism, and hard-heartedness. But with these chains broken, the Church, the Bride, can unite; freedom will be felt, and the spoils will be ours.
It’s Time for the “Greater Works” & a Reformation of Righteousness
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.” (John 14:12, KJV)
The Church has worked hard to be free for generations. Didn’t Jesus say Himself that we would do greater works? We have never seen these “greater works” which the Lord prophesied but I believe we will now. We had to be set free from the demonic spirit of Pharaoh to be free from religion, tradition and idolatry so that these gifts can flow unadulterated. (Photo via Pixabay)
Recently, major, respected prophetic voices have foretold of the soon-to-come reformation/revival in the United States – the greatest this world has ever seen – but we had to be free from the spirit of Pharaoh for this to manifest.
I had wondered how this new reformation would happen, since we need this change quickly, and some things sure seemed so far from it. But now I can see that we are free from the chains of Pharaoh, and this Christian revolution of righteousness and salvation can occur. Of course, it will develop more and more over time, but I believe what I’ve seen will happen much sooner than we think – and we are seeing some of the fruit of it already.
Don’t Turn Back
“Then beware lest thou forget the LORD which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.” (Deuteronomy 6:12, KJV)
The Lord is telling us to “get on board” with this new Church reformation, to bring in the billion-soul harvest. Church will not be the same as before, and we will have to embrace godly change.
The children of Israel had difficulty embracing change after leaving Israel, even though they were freed from slavery. They wanted things as usual, too accustomed to Pharaoh deciding things for them instead of leading themselves. Some wanted things to stay the same; some were so hard-hearted that they would rather serve false gods than build God’s Kingdom; and still others wanted to put themselves in charge, not submitting to God and His Lordship. Most murmured and complained instead of worshiping and interceding, and many were in disunity and did not listen to God for themselves, but depended on others instead.
We cannot go back to the old way of doing things and make the same mistake as the children of Israel. “We were happy in Egypt” seemed to be their mental state (Numbers 11:5, Exodus 14:12). However, now it is our time to embrace change and think outside the box, learning from the mistakes of history, remembering the bondage that we have been in. Many Scriptures show how God admonished the Israelites to not forget who brought them out of bondage and into the Promised Land, so we must do the same by honoring, thanking and serving Him; giving Him all the glory. We must continue to intercede for this as well.
“Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments.” (Exodus 6:6, KJV)
It is terrible that we had to suffer horrible adversities like a pandemic and social injustice for this to bring about reformation; but in the history of the world, adversity has brought God’s people to unity, revival and a strong hungering after God and His righteousness. God heard the cries of the Israelites as they longed to be free – and He has heard our pleas as well in these desperate times. No longer will we be confined and no longer will we be silenced.
Pharaoh is dead. No longer is the spirit of Pharaoh terrorizing the Church. It is now time for the Church to impact the world!
