Word for 2017: Get Ready for an Upgrade!
by Elaine TavolacciOn Thanksgiving evening, the Holy Spirit began to reveal some things to me concerning the New Year. This is what He showed me: just as there is a changing of the guard in the White House and president-elect Donald Trump has many cabinet positions to fill, the Lord is looking for many positions to replace in seats of great authority in spiritual gifts (1 Cor. 12:4-11), as well as the five-fold ministry of the Body of Christ. (Eph. 4:11-12).
Many prophetic voices will be raised up from the pit to the palace. Get ready for an upgrade.
Then the Lord said: “Let your voice be heard.” There is a seat that is assigned to each one of us. When we find our seat, we will then rule and reign from that place. It is not about control or manipulation, but it is rightfully taking your Kingdom position. In that place there will be no division or competition as we will understand our true identity.
It is not about self-promotion or trying to make a name for ourselves, but those who work together will speak as one voice and walk in one accord. The right hand will know what the left hand is doing as one hand washes the other. They will do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility they will value others above themselves. They will not be critical but will have compassion rather than judgment against those who don’t know the Lord.
True prophets of God as well as other prophetic voices should not be silenced or mocked. As the Scripture says, “Do not touch My anointed ones; do My prophets no harm” (Psalm 105:15). The Lord will speak not only from the podium but from the pit. He will speak through a donkey as well as a burning bush. Those who know the voice of the Lord will discern between the holy and the profane (Ezek. 44:23). They will not just speak with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, therefore our words have creative power. The Holy Spirit will give voice to His word through His prophets in this hour. They shall decree a thing and it shall be established. The Lord is going to raise up teachers who know the Word of God and will release revelations (treasures) from the Old Testament as well as the new (Matt.13:52).
Healing and the Miraculous
Then He showed me some things concerning healing ministries and the miraculous. I began to read about those who were lead by a cloud by day and a fire by night, and they were fed manna which the Lord supplied daily. The great men and women of faith in the Bible such as Moses parting the Red Sea to Elijah being fed by ravens and raising the dead. Elisha received a double portion of Elijah’s anointing and God used him to perform miracles beyond human comprehension. Joshua commanded the sun to stand still and it delayed going down for a full day.
In the same way, men and women will be used of God, and those who know their God will be strong and do exploits in this day. All creation is waiting in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed (Rom. 8:19).
Jesus is going to visit us and manifest His glory in extraordinary ways. He will speak to us in dreams and visions as well as through miracles, signs and wonders (Matt. 10:8). Many will be healed as the need is so great. Just as blind Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus to have mercy on him and Jesus replied, “Your faith has made you whole,” we will have personal visitations and invitations just as Zacchaeus experienced as he climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus walking by. Jesus saw him and said: “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” In this same way, Jesus is going to visit our homes and many will experience personal encounters with Him.
Jesus tried to explain to His disciples about His death, resurrection and that He would not leave them alone but He would send the Holy Spirit after He left (John 14). In verse 12, He said: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” The Lord is about to release the “greater works” in the earth today.
In the book of Acts as the disciples assembled together in the upper room, suddenly there was a sound from Heaven as a rushing mighty wind, and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each one of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
There will be gatherings where Believers will allow the Holy Spirit to have His way. They will not limit God and not submit to the religious man made traditions. The presence of God will fill the sanctuary and His train will fill the temple.
There will be those who are carrying the presence of God, and His presence will be in them and surround them. People will be healed in that anointing in the same way Peter’s shadow healed the sick. Just as God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them, we will once again see the eyes of the blind open, the deaf hear and the leapers healed.
“Just as it was prophesied in Joel 2:28 and Acts 17, ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams,’ it shall come to pass in these last days,” says the Lord.
Job 12:22, “He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings utter darkness into the light.”
Job 22:28, “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.”
John 14:12, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”
1 Corinthians 2:4-5, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (To Subscribe to the Elijah List go here.)
