God is repositioning many of His people to have greater impact! The Lord is saying that He has heard the cry of His people asking to have greater impact. He has been on the move repositioning many but it doesn’t look the way they thought it would. Some are even wondering if God has abandoned or rejected them. However, the Lord God Almighty states that He IS in control.
In Daniel Chapter 1, we read during the third year of King Jehoiakim’s reign in Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. The Lord gave him victory over King Jehoiakim of Judah and permitted him to take some of the sacred objects from the Temple of God. So Nebuchadnezzar took them back to the land of Babylonia and placed them in the treasure-house of his god.
“God is releasing heavenly wisdom for earthly situations.“ Note the words, “The Lord gave him” (see verse 2). It was the Lord who was doing the repositioning, not man. Many of God’s people have felt massive shaking in their lives. Many have experienced the loss of jobs, security, homes and have had their families uprooted. Your sense of security has been challenged. You have been searching your hearts and crying out for God to show you where you stepped away from His heart. For many, God is saying that you have not stepped away from His heart, but you have stepped into His will. It is vital that you see from a heavenly perspective rather than an earthly perspective in order to property navigate this season.
Focus is Everything
Daniel, along with others, was selected to be fully immersed and trained in all things of Babylon. In the midst of this, we find that Daniel was determined not to defile himself (Daniel 1:8). The Lord says that the key to impact during times of shaking and transition is to keep your focus and to not allow yourself to be defiled with what is happening around you.
As with Daniel, we may find ourselves in a corrupt situation but we can still keep ourselves clean before God. When our focus is on Him, our hearts cannot be defined by what is around us. We will not be consumed by the darkness. God is saying He has sent us on a mission to consume the darkness with His light. (Photo via Pixabay)
“We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.” (2 Corinthians 10:5 TPT)
Open up your hands and receive all that He has. Although discouragement, frustration and fear are knocking at the door, do not let them in, for God is saying He is still in control and you are being repositioned. Through the shaking God is repositioning you so that you can have greater impact. Do not depend on the feelings during the transition, but depend on the faithfulness of God—declare it to yourself and to the spiritual realm.
Impact Beyond…
The impact that we are to have invades the seemingly impossible situations that we find ourselves in.
“God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams.” (Daniel 1:17 NLT)
“God is repositioning many of His people to have greater impact!“ God is releasing heavenly wisdom for earthly situations. He says, “Do not devalue the level of impact you have for the Kingdom of Heaven at your disposal. I have positioned you for favor; step into it with confidence.” Be careful to draw the heavenly perspective into the earthly realm and not to try to go in the other direction. Like Daniel, live in the land that God has called you to, keep focused on Him, and be brave, for you are a child of the King! The King is still in control!
Steps to Finding Your Footing
1. Repent for any way in which you have allowed the darkness of the situation to overpower the light in your life. Ask the Lord to turn up the setting so that His light will shine through you.
2. Spend some time with the Lord and listen. I have no doubt that as Daniel made the journey from Judah to Babylon, he was having a conversation with God. We need to have a conversation with God and ask Him to align our focus with His focus.
3. Ask God to give you His heart for the people, country, culture, job, etc., that He has placed within you. (Photo via Pixabay)
Let’s Pray: Heavenly Father, I know that I can trust. When sending me into a foreign land. You send me with everything that I will need to have impact in that land. You send me with the full force of the Kingdom of Heaven. I was not created to be consumed by darkness, but I was created to bring Your light into dark places. I’m thankful that You have divine strategies in each and every situation. I’m thankful that You not only release dreams and visions to me, but You will also give me the “interpretation” for dreams and vision that others will have.
Thank You for Your great love! Thank You that my feet are firmly grounded in You. Thank You that You are with me each and every step of the way! (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)
