BEING “AS GOD ON THE EARTH” – Ron McGatlin

The greatest life in this world is Christ in us the reality of positive expectation of glory. It is a life beyond the cross, filled with the resurrection life of Christ in us by the Holy Spirit. It is the reality of resurrected life never to face the death of the cross. That work is finished, never to return upon God’s people.

In coming to Christ, everything is paid for at the cross, and the fullness of life is provided in Christ. Our cross that we must take up daily in this world is believing in Christ Jesus in the face of rejection or persecution from the people of this world.

TRYING TO BE LIKE GOD

Trying to be like God can be a false lifetime burden of a counterfeit life. The soul can learn to do a pretty good job acting and looking godly. However, God has a better way for His people on Earth. If there is a counterfeit, then there is a real.

A counterfeit life can look like the real except it cannot fake real love. In Isaiah 14:13-14, Lucifer is quoted as saying in his heart, “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.”

To be like God without being one with God can be a self-aggrandizing fantasy or make-believe delusion.

Mankind and the world are longing for truth and the real. Yet, many, if not most, of their appetites have been adjusted to crave a make-believe or fantasy “junk food” lifestyle. They keep eating more and more yet are never satisfied.

“Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.” Isaiah 55:2.

For many, the most real thing they devour is some form of a GAME. The big game on TV is their closest thing to real. Video games, online mind crafting, TV programs, and time-wasting games or videos are more real to them than life in God.

THE GREATER LIFE

The greatest life we can live in this world is seeking the kingdom of God first and flowing in love as one with Him into whatever He leads us into or assigns us to be and do. It is a life of faith, often into realms that seem far beyond anything we can accomplish. By faith, we obey and follow God’s leading to step into places we have never been, and God is glorified, we are blessed, and our hearts are satisfied.

There is a greater life for even sincere believers who go to church to learn about God, talk about God, and sing about God.

Knowing about God or talking and singing about Him is very different from BEING WITH GOD AND CONVERSING WITH HIM AND SINGING TO HIM!

Many often do not seem to realize that if they are gathered in the name of Jesus, HE IS THERE IN THE ROOM WITH THEM. (Matthew 18:20).

GOD IS IN THE ROOM; converse with Him and sing to Him corporately, singing our love in worship to Him.

GOD DESIRES TO MANIFEST IN AND WITH US

Spirit God will not miss an opportunity to manifest His presence in and among His willing people.

Spirit Christ Jesus alive in our living spirits fills our hearts to over flowing with His life into the immediate gathering to all who will receive. His love fills and overcomes us.

His presence flows all-consuming love, overwhelming our hearts in perfect peace sprinkled with joy and intense passion for God and everyone around us.

All else fades away in the glory of His love.

Our hearts and souls are melted, and we become one with Him. We are one with God in Heaven and on Earth.

We are not like Him. We are as Him, “on earth as He is,” in love with Him. “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17.

We are His Spirit’s body on earth, filling the earth with the glory of His love, peace, righteousness, and Joy.

The cravings for the make-believe fantasy life are gone as our old life is crucified in the glory of His life in us. His righteousness, peace, and joy fill our hearts and lives in His love.

God loves us and the world and is now in the process of establishing an INDESCRIBABLE REALITY OF PERFECTED LOVE.
